Sieber papers, 1888-1907.

Correspondence, manuscript and newspaper articles, and probate records about the life of Al Sieber and his work at the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation. The highlight of the collection is a folder of letters from Al Sieber to his niece, Louise Wall Taylor, 1888-1906. These letters contain brief descriptions of Sieber's activities at San Carlos. There are also transcripts of newspaper articles about Sieber, and a 5-page manuscript entitled "Correspondence between Nelson A. Miles and Lt. Whipple and Al Sieber, 1887." Copies of probate records for Sieber are also present.
